چکیده

Load shedding is generally regarded as the final option to evade voltage collapse and blackout following major overloads. The traditional method of load curtails random loads regardless their importance until system’s improved. Shedding without considering priority will lead power interruption in vital infrastructures. Hence, improve existing system protection scheme, development a more effective efficient necessary. In this paper, an optimal under (UVLS) proposed for optimum prediction amount shed best location curtailment. Moreover, designed maintain during process. work, stability index (SI) feed-forward backpropagation neural network (FFBPNN) were adopted avoid by mitigating instability overloads distribution system. performance several overload scenarios investigated. Case studies performed on IEEE 33-bus exposed significant robustness recommended technique. Compared other approaches, approach counteracting under-shedding occurrence, enhancing profile, improving system, whilst maintaining shedding.

Optimal Load Shedding for Voltage Stability Enhancement by Genetic Algorithm

Outage of a heavily loaded transmission line or tripping of large generating unit may lead the system toward collapse. Under such circumstances, compared to other measures, load shedding procedure is an efficient method to make the power system voltage stable when many system variables are out of their normal ranges and the system is driven toward collapse. This paper introduces the concept of ...

A Linear Programming Based Approach For Generation Rescheduling And Load Shedding To Alleviate Power System Overloads

This paper presents a linear programming (LP) based approach for the alleviation of line overloads by generation rescheduling and load shedding. The algorithm is based on solving a linearized set of optimal equations. The objective function for generation rescheduling is to minimize the linearized system operating cost while satisfying the system equality and inequality constraints. In respect ...
